WCSC
2009 Review (continued)
Into
the new season, despite a rare away European win
in Moscow, Celtic were easily outclassed by Arsenal
to prevent CL qualification and a doomed Europa
League campaign would ensue. In the SPL performances
changed little from the previous season with many
members probably questioning why they went to
the effort of staying up till the early hours
to watch the poor fare on display.
There
was, however, changes at the WCSC when at the
2009 AGM inaugrual President Mark Gilchrist was
replaced by Ciaran Moran. The challenge now for
the WCSC is to continue to build on the foundations
laid by Gilly, a job made no easier by the efforts
of the current Celtic team, but we hope that the
new year will see some much needed new faces in
at Parkhead and that Mogga's vision materialises.
The
Wellington Celtic Supporters Club thanks all its
members for their continued support, we thank
the Wellington Irish Society for providing us
with a home, and special thanks and appreciation
goes to our honourary life member Peter Hannigan
- we would struggle to do what we do without him.
THANK YOU!
